"What is the TRUTH about Network (MLM) Marketing?"
I'm asked this question more then anything else................
There are literally thousands of Network Marketing (we'll call them MLM)
opportunities coming online each month. Some are scams, some are
borderline legit (if there is such a term) and others are completely
legitimate home based businesses.
All have some things in common. They all promote BIG DREAMS
of GREAT INCOMES and the Ultimate Promise of RESIDUAL Income.
That's what we all want, a growing source of passive income!
We selected MLM for our first topic because it definitely has the
ability to be the most rewarding home based business but also
can has the capability of breaking your bank account and souring
you on the subject of home business success faster then anything
imaginable. Read on and you'll understand why.

The truth of the matter is that about 95% of those entering network
marketing drop out within 6 months time. Another point to realize
is that 10% or those in networking make 90% of the income in the
field.
These stats are quite accurate. So anyone considering going into
networking should be ready to face some real challenges.
Depressed Yet?
I've got very good news for you. There still are regular people like
you and me that earn a decent income from MLM. There are some
parameters that contribute to success. You must make your choices
with your 'head' and not with your emotions.
What do I mean? Well it is easy to get carried away in the promotion
of one business over another. Especially so if we are attending a sales
meeting. This is exactly what the promoters of the business desire.
In 2007 though, we should (if we want to be successful) be very selective
and view ANY MLM opportunity with certain things in mind.
Just a note, my associates and I were quite successful back in the
early 90's with Herbalife and Amway. I still remember those
"hyped up" meetings with the "circles" and testimonials.
Anyone who has been there knows exactly what I'm talking about
here. The point is once a person signed up, it wasn't but a few
months and they dropped out.
Then your sponsor would tell you one of two things: it was your
fault due to a lack of support or they (those who dropped out)
weren't really ready for such a great opportunity.
Oooooooooooooh, I get a headache just thinking about it.

But times have changed.
As I mentioned, today the development of the internet tools and
the wide decimation of information has enabled us to make
intelligent decisions before we jump into something.
First point to remember is "we want a business that can be
promoted 100% on the web if we desire." We do not want to
alienate our family members and friends. We shouldn't have
to in today's world.
Second point is: "we do not want to purchase leads each
month and cold call prospects." Nothing is more costly and
depressing, especially when someone is just starting out.
Third point is: "we want to be able to use the web to the fullest
for recruiting and building our business." The tools are all
available today, you just have to know where to find them
and how to use them properly.
Fourth and final point: "our product has to be one with an
international demand." The business product being offered
has to offer a benefit to those living outside the USA. This is
important because of the growing economies in other parts
of the world. This in itself limits the opportunities we might
consider. The product has to be of a nature that customers
will want to purchase on a monthly basis. It can't be something
you can purchase cheaper at the local WallyWorld or you
are doomed to failure. It can't be something that cannot be
exported around the world or you are limiting your future growth.

Just a personal note here: My associates and I had been
examining networking opportunities on a regular basis when
